A maintenance groom is perfect in between trims or for short haired breeds who do not require any trimming and would normally include:
A visit to the groomers can be an overwhelming experience for puppies. It is therefore best to bring them along to the salon as early as possible and to gradually introduce them to the grooming process. An introduction programme would vary according to how well your puppy copes but would usually be as follows:
Visit 1 - Meet the groomer and have a look round the salon.
Visit 2 - Bath and dry. Maybe a nail trim.
Visit 3 - Full groom.
My first priority will ALWAYS be your dog’s welfare. The process of removing matts from a dog by brushing is extremely painful and distressing. Therefore I will not attempt to dematt any severely matted dogs but will remove the matts using clippers. I will, however, always discuss this with you at the start of the groom.
If your dog takes longer than would normally be expected, for example due to the condition of the coat or the dog’s behaviour this may incur extra charges.
Please try to give at least 24 hours notice of cancellations, so that we may be able to offer your appointment to another dog. Failure to do so may result in charges being incurred.
